Dr. Mark Jeffers is a teacher and literacy coordinator at Mount Miguel High School in Grossmont Union High School District. After spending 14 years in the U.S. Marine Corps and six years working for Kings County Probation Department, Dr. Jeffers became a high school English teacher. He currently is the coordinator and founder of Matador Early College, a dual enrollment academy at Mount Miguel. Dr. Jeffers has a bachelor’s degree in English, master’s degree in cross-cultural education, a master’s of fine arts in creative writing, and a doctorate in educational leadership.
